About Me
Petra kiss
concert pianist and mental trainer
My story began in 1995 with a major abdominal surgery, and between 2005 and 2025 I silently struggled with the symptoms of endometriosis. I know all too well how long and difficult the road to a diagnosis can be.
As the winner of Endometriosis Hungary’s 2025 Ambassador Program, I feel it is my mission to use my role as a pianist to bring information about this disease to a wider audience. In this way, I hope to support my fellow patients and spare them the long and cruel struggle I had to endure before finally receiving a diagnosis.
While preparing for my own surgery, I realized that the many techniques and experiences I gained during my mental trainer training could be of real help to others as well. I even dedicated my thesis to the question of how different mental techniques and methods can improve the lives of women living with endometriosis.
You don’t have to come to me every week. You come when you feel the need. I don’t work in fixed processes, but always on a specific topic (I deliberately don’t call it a problem). The essence of mental training, however, is that you also receive “homework” to practice at home – because the key to change lies in your hands.
That is why I chose the name Mental Trainer: I believe it best expresses what I do.
I won’t tell you which doctor to choose, but I can help you learn how to make that decision. I won’t push you toward or away from surgery – that is entirely your choice. What I can offer are a wide range of NLP techniques that make decision-making easier, and I select the ones that best fit your individual situation.
Nothing is taboo with me. I even dedicated a full chapter of my thesis to painful sexuality, because I had to face it myself. When something hurts every single time for twenty years, neither surgery nor hormone therapy alone can solve it – because our brain remembers pain. The good news is that I have experienced and overcome this myself, and since then I have helped many others. I cannot promise that all your pain will vanish forever, but I can certainly support you when there is no clear medical explanation for your symptoms.
I have also developed a special program to prepare for surgery. This has been tested by several friends of mine who underwent endometriosis operations, as well as by myself. Since I have already had multiple surgeries, I can pass on many practical insights – small but important details your doctor may not have the time to explain. We also prepare for worst-case scenarios, because “false positivity” and “let’s not talk about it” have never been my way. With me, you will find a safe space where you can speak your deepest fears, and together we will transform them with visualization and logical exercises into a more balanced, supportive mindset.
I am also certified in visualization techniques and meditation. If you are open to it, I can even create a personalized meditation for you – with your favorite music, played by me on the piano.
All my consultations are held online, so you can reach me from anywhere. I provide the practical exercises within 24 hours in PDF format after each session. On request, I can also record the visualizations and meditations for you, so you can practice them on your own anytime.
