About Me
Petra kiss
Pianist with Passion and Presence
Born in Budapest, Petra Kiss discovered her love for the piano at the age of 8 — and hasn’t stopped captivating audiences since. After winning her first national piano competition at just 12 years old, she went on to perform Haydn’s Piano Concerto with orchestra and collect further prizes for her expressive interpretations, especially of Chopin.
She has appeared on renowned stages from the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy in Budapest to the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Whether performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue or the delicate nuances of Hungarian composers, Petra brings emotional depth and clarity to every note.
Petra holds a Master’s degree with distinction from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, where she studied under the legendary Jacques Rouvier, and a Bachelor’s degree with highest honors from the Liszt Academy of Music. She is a two-time recipient of the Hungarian Republic Scholarship.
She regularly tours internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, with performances in China, Spain, Italy, Germany, and beyond. Alongside grand concert halls, Petra is also known for her engaging salon concerts, where she invites audiences into the stories behind the music — blending artistic excellence with heartfelt connection.
Petra Kiss is also actively working as a certified mental trainer. She leads workshops for musicians, athletes, and individuals living with chronic illnesses – with a special focus on those affected by endometriosis. She has developed a dedicated mental preparation program for people undergoing endometriosis surgery, as well as a training called “How to Stay Completely Calm on Stage”, which specifically targets performance anxiety.
At the moment, she offers online one-on-one consultations, during which a short 20-minute conversation helps determine which of her mental training programs would be the most suitable for the individual’s needs.
